The Cultural Contact Point Ireland in collaboration with
the Anna Lindh Foundation Ireland presents:

An information seminar on EU culture funding and trans-national co-operation

Tues 6 March :: 11am - 3pm :: Triskel Christchurch :: FREE

The aim of this event is two-fold. First it will examine some of the opportunities available under the EU Culture Programme and second it will provide an insight into the realities of working trans-nationally through case studies European cultural projects.

The event will also include a presentation on the funding opportunities available from the Anna Lindh Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue.

The event will bring together a range of speakers who all have experience of making applications for EU funding and working on trans-national cultural projects. Each speaker will share their own experiences of the European projects that they have been, or are currently, involved in. We hope these case studies will open a debate on the benefits and barriers to working internationally.

Lunch will be provided on the day.

The event is free but please confirm your attendance by email: ccp@artscouncil.ie.

LAUNCH OF WORLD BOOK FEST 2012

Sat 31 March :: 3pm :: Triskel Christchurch :: FREE

Paul Howard, aka Ross O'Carroll-Kelly, will officially launch the Cork World Book Fest with a reading from his book 'Nama Mia!'.

"Ross's misadventures and on-the-nose observations never fail to provoke a laugh-out-loud reaction... bursting at the seams with spot-on parody" - Irish Times.

"While the writing is as sharp and LOL funny as ever, Ross's complicated relationships ... are movingly explored. The closing pages had this reviewer in tears - and, for once, they weren’t of helpless laughter" - Hot Press.

The 8th Cork World Book Fest will take place from 19-23 April 2012 at Cork City Library and Triskel Christchurch. Outdoor events and street markets will be held on the Grand Parade on Saturday 21st April. Copies of the Festival brochure will be available at the launch on Sat 31 March.
